I run construction projects at a Florida pool builder. Every day I bounce between the office, three job sites, and a homeowner meeting. The tools our industry has do one of two things: they are enterprise construction software that assumes a superintendent, a dedicated PM, and an office admin (Procore, JobTread), or they are service-trade software that assumes recurring HVAC calls (Housecall Pro, Jobber).
Neither one fits a pool build. Neither one fits a five-person crew building a bathroom addition. Neither one fits a two-truck landscape install crew. So we did what most small construction crews do: we used QuickBooks for invoices, text messages for coordination, and a spreadsheet that someone always forgot to update.
After five years of watching that pattern fail, I built Workhand.

I wrote the app phone-first because that is where the work actually happens. Estimates get built in driveways. Photos get taken on scaffolding. Chat happens while a mixer is running. The desktop dashboard came later, once the mobile app was solid.
I priced it low (free forever, $34.99 Pro, $89.99 Team) because I remembered what it felt like to pay $399 a month for software our crew used maybe 30 percent of.
